Com.pas was founded in 2007 by Edwin Beekman. Drawing from his extensive experience, he observed that payroll administration and payroll services were often offered with a one-size-fits-all approach, while tailored solutions were often preferable due to the unique nature of each organization and the varying preferences of entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, these services were frequently provided as supplementary offerings by organizations, in addition to their core activities. It was often found that the specific expertise wasn’t always present, and the continuity of these specialized services wasn’t always guaranteed. This led to the establishment of Com.pas.
Com.pas experienced rapid growth, and our approach was recognized by our clients: Flexibility, Continuity, and Quality. The accessibility of our employees and our swift responsiveness have been consistently appreciated up to the present day. This growth was largely autonomous and often driven by word-of-mouth recommendations from our satisfied clients.
Com.pas has never relied on heavy contracts with its clients; if clients were content, they continued to use our services, and if not, we facilitated a smooth transition to another service provider. Our proactive approach to our clients also sets our service apart. Whenever we identify areas for improvement for employers or their employees, we readily offer unsolicited advice.
In 2012, Com.pas shifted its focus towards knowledge migrants by becoming a recognized sponsor with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND). This specialization has been further developed over the years, and Com.pas Expat Services has become a well-established name in the Netherlands.
In 2016, Jeroen Selbach joined Com.pas, and in 2020, he became a co-owner of the company. With his expertise and the continued professionalization of our services—such as reevaluating processes using current techniques and making different choices in the software we use—the quality and efficiency of our services have been elevated. This once again resulted in rapid organizational growth, and we continue to welcome new organizations on a monthly basis who wish to benefit from our distinctive services.

As a recognized sponsor by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND), your company is authorized to employ knowledge migrants. Additionally, the IND applies a shorter processing time for permit applications. The process to become a recognized sponsor is complex, expensive, and demands a significant amount of time and effort.
Com.pas is an expert in the field of knowledge migration and holds the status of a recognized sponsor. Every year, numerous employers, intermediaries, and recruitment agencies utilize our payroll service to hire knowledge migrants. This relieves them from concerns about the recognized sponsor status, associated obligations, and administrative burdens. They can promptly engage with their knowledge migrants while we handle the administrative aspects.
All companies that are recognized sponsors by the IND are listed in the public register of recognized sponsors.
